IST, Andrew

  • Proceeding with campus licence for Adobe Acrobat Pro ETLA (full-time faculty, staff, and multi-use machines)
  • Suggestion to hold off on renewing existing licenses as there is likely no pro-rating/refunding of existing licences
  • Creative Cloud will remain in the Arts VIP program
  • Decided not to move forward with Adobe Sign at this time
  • Microsoft Endpoint Management Training Workshops (for Intune) scheduled for August, variety of people from across campus attending

Engineering, Erick

  • Wondering what the current work from home environments are for other areas
  • IST > 2 days in office, 3 days at home (considerations for number of staff, floor space square footage)
  • Library > 40% minimum time in office but front-facing staff may need to be in more often; challenges dealt with earlier during pandemic; started workforce planning work
  • Health > nearly all back 5 days per week (1 staff member working from home 1 day per week), no concerns about support for/from clients; may still choose to use remote tools even if on campus
  • MFCF > nearly all are 2 days at home and 3 days in the office, no concerns about support for/from clients
  • CSCF > nearly all are 2 days at home and 3 days in the office, good response rate from team members via email/online chat; more planning required for on-campus tasks/duties
  • Engineering> all IT staff are expected to be on-site.

CSCF, Lori

  • Research Computing Committee (RCC) being struck and likely to model CTSC/UCIST committee structure and membership; now includes Faculty IT representation
  • Shared information with Committee on Research Computing Directory

Comments/Discussion

  • Andrew has asked Office of Research to help co-lead advancement of Research Computing theme (out of IT Review); opportunity to build connection with RCC
