Dr. Kumaraswamy Ponnambalam is a Professor of Systems Design Engineering with over thirty years of experience working in the area of design optimization under uncertainty with many applications in energy and water-related systems. He is a systems dynamic modeler, increasingly linking this to artificial intelligence and machine learning for decision making in various complex systems. He has conducted research in Canada, Netherlands,  India, Iran,  Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela.
