Takehiro Inohara

Dr. Inohara's research interests are in the fields of decision making, conflict resolution, and consensus building. He is conducting research to gain useful knowledge in our lives about how society behaves.  He expresses and analyzes various problems that occur in society, especially those related to decision making, using mathematical frameworks. He develops and improves new mathematical approaches to the expression and the analysis of decision making, conflict resolution, and consensus building situations. Mathematical frameworks he employs in his research include: game theory; hypergame theory; soft game theory; the Graph Model for Conflict Resolution (GMCR); social network theory. In particular, within the GMCR framework, he works on the development and the improvement of the analysis methods such as coalition analysis, attitude-based analysis, state transition time analysis, and permissible range analysis.
