The Centre provides funding for academic research by faculty members and doctoral students that directly addresses performance management issues. Performance management is broadly defined to include topics relating to strategy implementation, performance measurement, management control systems, compensation and incentives, business analytics, and ethics.

The Centre invites applications for research proposals using any empirical method(s) (i.e., experiments, surveys, interviews, archival) that directly address a performance management topic. Applications are welcome from faculty members and doctoral students either for new projects or to continue work for an on-going project. Grants of up to $8,000 will be provided.

Any working papers or publications that result from research funded under this program are required to acknowledge CPA Ontario and the Centre by name. Also, successful applicants are required to provide a brief annual progress update on the funded research to facilitate reporting to the Centre’s Advisory Board.
