DIESEL trainees attended the 16th annual Ontario Biomechanics Conference (OBC) at the Nottawasaga Inn and Conference Centre in Alliston on March 8th to 10th.
Two of our graduate students, Tea Lulic and Bhillie Luciani, had oral presentations summarizing their recent work on pectoralis major function and fatigue. Our newest masters student, Dan Fournier, had his first poster presentation outlining his proposed research using smart watch technology to track the proper performance rotator cuff rehabilitation exercises.
OBC provides an excellent opportunity for undergraduate students to present their thesis work, as well. This year, four 4th year students had poster presentations summarizing their current and proposed undergraduate thesis projects that include upper body exoskeleton function, office wheelchair use, breast cancer survivors and shoulder function, and shoulder rhythm modeling.
Well done, everyone!
