Where do I drop-off and pick-up my child?

All Parents/Guardians will receive (via email) a Summer Camp Information Package one to two weeks before your child’s camp begins. This Package will contain all the detailed information you require for camp – including but not limited to drop-off and pick-up locations.

ESQ is working closely with the University’s Parking Services to accommodate short-duration parking (approximately 15-20 mins) for drop-off and pick-up.

Can my child be picked up or dropped off by someone other than a parent/guardian?

Parents/guardians named in your Engineering Outreach Registration Portal account will be able to pick up your child along with anyone added to your Authorized Pick-Up list.

Names can be added in your registration account following these instructions.

Can I pick my child up before 4:00pm?

All early pick-ups (before 4:00pm) must be coordinated with the Engineering Outreach Office Staff. This can be done by emailing esqinfo@uwaterloo.ca. It is best to do this in advance of your Camp week to ensure that your Camper will be close to the early pick-up location at the specified time. Please note: we cannot coordinate pick-ups between 3:45-4 pm.

Can I drop my child off after 9:00am?

If a Camper is late (after 9:00am), Engineering Outreach Staff will contact each parent/guardian who is not present during morning attendance. To avoid confusion, we ask that you please email esqinfo@uwaterloo.ca if you plan on arriving after 9:00am to ensure there is a Staff member who can bring your Camper to their Camp room. All additional details regarding late drop-off locations will be communicated through the Summer Camp Information Package that will be sent to each Parent/Guardian one to two weeks before your Child’s Camp begins.

Do you offer extended care outside of the typical camp hours of 8:30am to 4:30pm?

Yes, ESQ is excited to be offering Extended Care for a fee of $5/offering per week, with the four-day week being $4/offering. The two offerings are morning drop-off (8:00-8:30am) and afternoon Pick-Up (4:30-5:00pm). The offerings must be selected as an add-on when registering your child. This ensures there is sufficient supervision based on the number of participants at Extended Care. We will share extended care drop-off and pick-up locations with participants in an information package in advance of their week of camp.
