The SCEI was created in conjunction with the Canadian Engineering Education Association to answer the following research questions:

• What are the current instructor attitudes about teaching and learning?
• What are the current faculty attitudes about the role of the instructor and their duties in both the course and institution?
• What are the current faculty attitudes toward, and engagement in, professional development activities related to teaching?

This June, 2014 blog post discusses pedagogy (the methods and practice of teaching children) in contrast with andragogy (the methods and practice of teaching adults).
