Environmental Change & Governance Group (ECGG) undertakes collaborative, methodologically creative and applied research to overcome the disconnect between people and nature, and foster governance strategies for conditions of rapid change and uncertainty in coastal-marine and freshwater systems. Several principles guide the work that we do:
- Engage in inter- and transdisciplinary research to re-connect people and nature and successfully navigate local-global environmental change.
- Collaborate with each other and a wide range of partners (e.g., elders, policy makers, artists, practitioners) to address complex environmental change.
- Encourage engagement and outreach with research partners, practitioners, and the communities where we work through high quality academic output.
