My research interests evolve around anything that concerns sustainability under future climate scenarios. In particular, I am interested in the socioeconomic dynamics that create opportunities to form sustainable practices. My background in economics provided me with tools to explore real-world issues under two combined approaches: quantitative analysis and the social sciences perspective. Once at the doctorate level, I wish to further integrate these two approaches and apply their methods to social and ecological sustainability. My interest in the SERS PhD program was sparked by Dr. Armitage’s work on coastal communities and their relationship with the natural resources upon which they depend.
