What: An exciting two-week challenge where you’ll connect with new students, solve real-world problems, grow your skills, meet industry experts and compete for a total of $10K in cash prizes.
When: March 9-20, 2026
Why join? Your ideas will contribute to the future of our systems for growing food. You will work with industry experts to solve real problems, and you’ll have the chance to meet friends who have an interest in solving big problems and exploring entrepreneurship.
Key mandatory challenge dates:
Kick-off event: Monday, March 9 | 4:00-6:00 PM | South Campus Hall 2nd floor cafeteria (SCH 228)
Mandatory for all participants to find team members and problem space
Project showcase: Wednesday, March 18 | 4:30- 6:00 PM | Innovation Arena, 280 Joseph St, Kitchener
Mandatory for all teams that advance to the Top 16
Final awards and presentations: Friday, March 20 | 1:30–4:00 PM | Innovation Arena, 280 Joseph St, Kitchener
Mandatory for all teams that advance to the Top 8
At least one member from each team must attend other events such as workshops and mentor office hours
