Are you passionate about making a difference in women’s health? Join us for an exciting innovation challenge and contribute to groundbreaking solutions! 

From October 28 to November 8, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with your peers to develop innovative solutions that address pressing issues in menopause, breast health, and gynecological health

Challenge Components: 

  • Kick-Off & Team Formation (October 28, 4-6 p.m., In-Person): Join us for an in-person event to learn about the challenge and form your team. 
  • Problem Space Workshops (October 29, 10 a.m., Virtual): Gain a deeper understanding of the specific challenges women face in the areas of menopause, breast health, and gynecological health
  • Research Workshop (October 30, 4-5 p.m., Virtual): Explore existing research and identify potential gaps in knowledge. Learn how to do your own meaningful research. 
  • Working Session (October 31, 12-2 p.m., In-Person): Dedicate time to brainstorm ideas and begin developing your solution. 
  • Mentor Roundtables (November 1, 10:30 a.m., Virtual): Connect with industry experts and mentors for guidance and feedback. 
  • Pitch Workshop (November 4, 4-5 p.m., Virtual): Learn effective pitching techniques to present your solution. 
  • 1 on 1 Mentor Office Hours (November 5, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Virtual): Get personalized support from mentors. 
  • Project Showcase (November 6, 5-8 p.m., In-Person): Showcase your team’s progress and receive feedback from the community. 
  • Finalist Pitch Prep (November 7, 2-4:30 p.m., In-Person): Prepare your final pitch for the competition. 
  • Final Presentations & Awards (November 8, 1:30-4 p.m., In-Person): Present your solution to a panel of judges and compete for awards. 

*All participants must attend the Kickoff, Project Showcase, and Finals. At least one member from each team must attend every event. 

Eligibility: 

  • All University of Waterloo students are eligible to participate. 
  • Teams must be formed and focus on solutions towards one of the following problem spaces: 
    • Menopause 
    • Breast health 
    • Gynecological health 

*Each problem space will be introduced at the kick-off event, giving you the opportunity to explore and choose your focus area. 

Prizes: 

  • The top solution will receive an award – more details to come.
