Hospitality: Refugee Integration through Languages, Spirituality, and Arts

Please join us on Monday, October 23 for a special lecture by UNESCO Chair and University of Waterloo Honorary Doctorate recipient Dr. Alison Phipps. Prof. Phipps is a scholar-activist at the University of Glasgow whose work centres on refugee integration through the Arts. In her presentation she will explain how arts-based methods enable intercultural dialogue, challenge yet also facilitate the amelioration of xenophobia, and are a vital element in the work of integrating refugees and communities. 

Lecture is being held in the CIGI Auditorium at the Balsillie School of International Affairs (67 Erb Street West, Waterloo). Free parking available across the street from the Balsillie School (Erb lot at the corner of Erb Street and Father David Bauer Drive)
