Please join us at a special flag-raising event to kick-off and celebrate Pride Month. This event marks an important moment for our campus community as we re-raise two flags: the Intersex-Inclusive Progress flag and the Two-Spirit Pride flag. These flags are a symbolic gesture of our commitment to nurturing an inclusive and welcoming campus culture where all individuals feel seen, valued, and respected.
This event will include remarks from President and Vice-Chancellor Vivek Goel, members of our 2SLGBTQIA+ campus communities, and a special closing by Elder Myeengun Henry. The ceremony will feature speakers from the GLOW Centre and the University of Waterloo Queer-Trans Alliance.
Muffins and cold beverages will be served for attendees and passersby, while quantities last.
