Celebrate Sexual Violence Awareness Month (SVAM)

May marks Sexual Violence Awareness Month (SVAM). SVAM is an opportunity for campus community members to spark important conversations about sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) and foster a community of support. SVPRO will be holding talks and booths all month long to celebrate SVAM, advancing SGBV awareness and literacy on a host of relevant topics!

We’re pleased to present a SVAM Speaker Series, featuring a lineup of powerful, dynamic voices delivered through four separate virtual talks every Thursday in May, starting this week, from 7-8PM (May 9, 16, 23, and 30). We will also be holding informative booths every Wednesday from 11AM-3PM (May 8, 15, 22, 29) in the Student Life Centre (SLC), outside of the Multi-Purpose Room (MRP).

Let's spark important conversations, raise awareness, and foster a community of support. Together, we can create a campus culture of respect, safety, empowerment, and consent. Don't miss out on this vital initiative – mark your calendars and be a part of the movement for change.
