As we navigate an austere workplace and a horrific news cycle, many of us are just barely holding it together. Often however, there is no other choice; when systems break down, as Jessica Calarco reminds us, womxn and nonbinary folx tend to become the safety net. With this in mind, our next event asks: How are you holding it together? What small ways have you found to ease your way through the day? What do you need help with? How can we help each other (i.e.. “hold it together”) as womxn and nonbinary workers at UW?
Join us for snacks and conversation. We’ll get the ball rolling with a brief panel of staff, faculty, and postdocs sharing their experiences. Then we’ll open the floor for sharing.
As always, all womxn and nonbinary staff, postdocs, grad students, and faculty are welcome to join us. Please register here to help us coordinate catering—you're also welcome to drop by. Feel free to bring lunch or cash if you’d like to buy a drink.
