About C. Tetsassi

Biography

Conrard Tetsassi

Dr. Conrard Giresse Tetsassi Feugmo obtained a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Yaoundé I in Cameroon before pursuing his studies in Belgium. In Belgium, he earned an Advanced Master's degree in Nanotechnologies from the Louvain School of Engineering and a Ph.D. in Computational Chemistry from the University of Namur. Following the completion of his Ph.D., Dr. Feugmo worked as a postdoctoral associate at the University of Western Ontario. He then joined the NRC's new Advanced Materials Research Facility in Mississauga (NRC-M) as a Research Officer, where he applies his expertise in material science, nanotechnologies, and machine learning to develop a materials acceleration platform for materials in sustainability-related domains.

Dr. Feugmo research interests are diverse, encompassing various areas such as accelerating the design of high entropy alloys and mixed metal oxides using computational approaches like Density Functional Theory (DFT), Molecular Dynamics (MD), and Phase Field Crystal (PFC), along with machine learning. His research is focused on developing these materials for application in electrochemical energy storage and conversion technologies, including capacitors/batteries and fuel cells, as well as in gas sensors, aerospace, and automotive industries. He is particularly interested in developing constrained multi-objective optimization algorithms and a model for ionic conduction in non-crystalline materials to enhance the efficiency of these materials in energy storage and conversion applications.
