I was captivated in my bachelor with materials of the future, which are lighter and more Eco-friendly and could better fulfill human needs compared to the current generation. I have figured out the worth of statistical and numerical analysis in the "Design of Experiment" Course which is now more accessible by python programming language. In the Master's program, I found that my interests are along with materials which can help produce fewer pollutant gases and save more energy; hence, I would like to specialize in energy materials, including batteries, fuel cells, solar cells, capacitors, and so on as they are one of the most important concerns of human beings to store and use energy resources more efficiently.
In recent years, I was delighted to find the opportunity to spend my M.Sc. thesis at University of Tehran on the effects of LLTO coating on the electrochemical performance of LiNi5Co2Mn3O2 cathode .I acquired a better theoretical understanding of materials of energy in the courses of "Energy Materials" which debated on the materials used in Fuel-Cells, Solar-Cells, Batteries, and so on. Moreover, some courses like "New Methods of Materials Analysis Characterization" and "Thermal Analysis" beside their labs helped me broaden my horizon in characterization. In my master's thesis, I learned how to run different electrochemical evaluation tests such as EIS. , CV, C-Rate and cycle performance, specifically in coin cells batteries.
Currently, I'm a Ph.D. student in the Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering department at the University of Waterloo, working under the supervision of Dr. Xianguo Li at the Fuel Cell and Green Energy Lab (FCGEL). My research project aims to create catalysts that are not only high-performing and long-lasting but also cost-effective for fuel cell transportation systems. It is including but not limited to catalyst synthesis, physical characterization, thermal analysis and electrochemical tests.
