Diana Parry and colleague Corey Johnson publish book on social justice and qualitative research

Wednesday, April 15, 2015

Corey Johnson and Diana Parry, a member of the Healthy Communities Research Network, co-edited the first textbook to explore the practice of conducting qualitative research within a social justice paradigm. The book examines the expectations and practices a social justice approach requires from the researcher, and then explores how various qualitative approaches are employed to advance social justice through the process and outcomes of qualitative research.

Our own social justice goal in writing this book is to provide a pathway for conducting research that not only gets 'heads' but also 'hearts' working for social justice. - Johnson and Parry, 2015, p. 291
