Thinking spatially

Eva Dodsworth at the Geospatial Centre
Eva Dodsworth is the Geospatial Data Services Librarian at the University of Waterloo (UW) Library where she is responsible for the provision of leadership and expertise in developing, delivering, and assessing geospatial data services and programs offered to members of the UW community.

Her research interests include studying and advocating for the broader use of spatial information for novice users across multiple disciplines. With a focus on historical cartographic material, Eva works with emerging technologies to find solutions for managing and delivering visual resources to end users. Information literacy is a key component for geospatial use and through podcasts, in-class and online courses. Eva demonstrates the value of GIS technology, and thinking spatially using geographic coordinates as the start for any research project.
