
The Hub for Sustainability Integration Conference is an annual conference that delivers valuable insights into the ever-evolving landscape of sustainability and its impacts on the future of business, the economy and society.
The conference features some of the brightest minds from leading academics and industry experts in the Canadian sustainability landscape, to provide a broad understanding of strategic sustainability issues and the practical knowledge required to integrate them into any organization.
The Hub for Sustainability Integration Conference is hosted by the Hub for Sustainability Integration - a partnership between the School of Accounting and Finance and the Faculty of Environment at the University of Waterloo.
2024 Hub for Sustainability Integration Conference: Empowering businesses to harness innovation for a cleaner future
The Inaugural Hub for Sustainability Integration Conference took place on March 21st at the Delta Hotel in Toronto. The day was filled with informative presentations and panel discussions from some of the country’s most knowledgeable sustainability integration and climate advocates.

Speaker Session: The Material Value of Indigenous Perspectives on Sustainability In his presentation Geordie Hungerford will explore Indigenous Peoples perspectives on sustainability, show why they are materially important to business operations today, and suggests some actions that can be taken to incorporate more of these perspectives into current corporate thinking. Mr. Hungerford will use his substantial knowledge base to explore both the legal and financial aspects of these issues and highlight how if the right actions are taken projects can become more sustainable, more profitable, and mutually beneficial. |

Speaker Session: Weather Gone Wild Climate change has irreversible impacts. Severe weather events, such as flooding, wildfires, and hurricanes, can disrupt the operations of businesses and those they engage with.
