Her research project is investigating the relationship between wild food diets and environmental contaminant exposure in Old Crow, YT using biomonitoring and nutritional surveys. Mallory’s research interests include environmental toxicology, risk assessment, environmental chemistry, public health policy, vulnerable population health and health equity.
Prior to beginning her PhD, Mallory completed a Master’s of Science at Queen’s University focusing on environmental geochemistry of dusts and respiratory bioaccessibility of nickel and other metals using in vitromethods. She received her B.Sc.H from Queen’s University in environmental geology. Mallory has seven years of industry experience in the environmental consulting industry, specializing in mine waste and water contamination.
