PhD candidate
Her research is in environmental toxicology and environmental health with a focus on mercury exposure in First Nations communities in northern Canada. The goal of her thesis research is to use country food samples, dietary data, and human biological samples to help improve the link between external exposure estimates and biomarker-based measures of internal dose for mercury, selenium, and omega-3 fatty acids.
Previously Sara completed a BSc in Honours Biology (Molecular Genetics specialization, Chemistry minor, co-operative education program) and a concurrent BA in Anthropology at the University of Waterloo.
