In August, the Office of Research announced the launch of their new research ethics system. Powered by Kuali, the web-based platform supports the development, review, and clearance of research ethics applications by facilitating each step of the process a completely online.

The success of this project was a result of the strong partnership between IST and the Office of Research. In direct support of the University's current Strategic Plan theme, Transformational Research, this new system replaces one that was 13 year old and no longer met the needs of the Office of Research Ethics or the campus community.
