There are two opportunities for students to receive financial support to participate in the 2024 JRC. Qualified students are invited to apply to one or both opportunities following the instructions below.
Mary G. and Joseph Natrella Scholarships
The Mary G. and Joseph Natrella Scholarship recognizes teaching, mentoring, and leaderships in the applied statistics community, as well as academic excellence. Two winners of the Mary G. and Joseph Natrella Scholarships will receive a $3,500 grant, a $500 stipend toward travel and housing expenses, and complimentary registration for the conference and the pre-conference short course. In addition, winners of the Natrella Scholarships will give a presentation on their research at the conference.

Student Travel Awards
A limited amount of travel funding has generously been made available by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Canadian Statistical Sciences Institute (CANSSI). Funds will be awarded to participating students to help defray their cost of transportation, accommodations, and registration fees. The award amount will depend on the level of funding provided by NSF and CANSSI and the number of students who apply for the award.
To be eligible for an award, applicants must:

Be a full-time student in a graduate or undergraduate program at an accredited college or university by January 1, 2024.

Participate in the conference by way of a contributed talk or contributed poster. Note that abstracts must be separately submitted on the abstract submission form.

Make their own travel arrangements (including transportation, accommodation, and registration).

Save relevant itemized receipts for partial reimbursement after the conference.

Not be a recipient of the 2024 Mary G. and Joseph Natrella Scholarship.
