Daniel Agostino

Research Assistant

Daniel is currently completing his Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Honours Psychology at the University of Waterloo and is currently in his fourth year of the program. He is interested in how technology use affects children's language development. Outside the lab, Daniel enjoys reading, solving sudoku and going to the gym! 

Junell Antwi

Research Assistant

Junell is currently in her fourth year of the Bachelor of Arts (BA) Honours Psychology program at the University of Waterloo. She is interested in the impact of environmental factors on speech delays in infants and children. Outside the lab, Junell enjoys writing poems and watching anime! 

Tiffany Austen Chong

Research Assistant

Tiffany is in her 3rd year of completing her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Honours Psychology with a Research-Intensive Specialization at the University of Waterloo. She is interested in learning more about the impact of growing up in a multilingual household on a child's language development. Outside of the lab, she enjoys reading, listening to music and making art! 

Cynthia Harrington

Research Assistant

Cynthia is currently a second-year Honours Arts (BA) student majoring in Psychology and completing a Research-Intensive Specialization. She is interested in early phonological development and how children acquire reading skills. Outside of school, Cynthia enjoys reading and spending time with her bird!

Jordan Hunsberger

Research Assistant

Jordan holds an MA in Psychotherapy from Wilfrid Laurier University and a BMus from Humber College; he is currently a post-degree Psychology student at the University of Waterloo. His current research involves how children acquire more complex syntactic structures. In his free time, Jordan loves to cook and spend time outdoors with his friends and family. 

Megan MacGregor

Research Assistant

Megan is in her 4th year of her Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Honours Health Sciences with a minor in Psychology at the University of Waterloo. She is interested in early language acquisition and the role of neuroplasticity in language development. Outside the lab, Megan enjoys photography, crafting, and taking her golden labrador on trail walks.

Jalilat Oseni

Research Assistant

Jalilat is in her third year of a Bachelor of Arts (BA) with a double major in Honours Psychology & Sexualities Relationships and Families (SRF). SRF is the study of interpersonal relationships with an interdisciplinary perspective. Jalilat is interested in bilingualism and how language acquisition varies among siblings. Outside the lab, Jalilat enjoys fiber crafts and figure skating. 

Cheyenne Salazar

Research Assistant

Cheyenne completed her Honours Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Honours Psychology at the University of Waterloo and is currently taking a gap year. She is interested in how different accents influence children’s perception of others. Outside the lab, Cheyenne enjoys reading and spending time with her cats! 

Joanna Xiong

Research Assistant

Joanna completed her Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Honours Psychology with a Minor in Biology at the University of Waterloo and is currently a Research Assistant at LIDL. She is interested in exploring the cognitive processes underlying language processing in bilingual children. Outside the lab, Joanna enjoys reading about the psychology of dogs and baking not-too-sweet treats.
