The University of Waterloo Library invites applications for the position of Communications Manager to provide leadership in strategy and content development for the Library’s communications portfolio.

The Communications Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communications and outreach strategy for the Library. Working with two dedicated communication team members and the Library team, the incumbent will work to develop a strategy to serve our user community and raise the profile of the Library on campus and beyond. Also responsible for content development, the Communications Manager will create, edit, produce and collaborate on communication pieces in support of the goals outlined in the Library’s strategic plan.

The Library employs 125 FTE staff, across two main library buildings on the Waterloo campus (Davis Centre Library and Dana Porter Library); the Musagetes Library in Cambridge supporting the School of Architecture, as well as information services for the School of Optometry and the School of Pharmacy. The Library provides access to collections and resources of over 2.3 million titles, with an annual budget of approximately $22 million. The Library’s Special Collections & Archives holds notable primary resources in a number of areas, including Women’s Studies and regional history, and curates a steadily increasing digital collection of primary resources in the Waterloo Digital Library.
