What should I enter for a user name?
Students will need to enter their WatIAM credentials. Faculty, staff and community borrowers will need to enter their W Print user ID and password.
Can I print single-sided?
The default setting is double-sided. You can change it to single-sided from the printer options by selecting black single-sided or colour single-sided.
Can I send a print job from home and print it in the Library?
Yes. You can login to W Print to send a print job to the library printers from another location on campus, your laptop or from home.
Can I print landscape documents?
In order to print landscape, the document itself must be set up as landscape. The printer driver is unable to change the file to landscape.
Why can't I print a web page?
Documents on the web or web pages that you try to print must be visible to the printing service. If you needed to log in to a site, then the print service will not be able to print that document. Download the document to print first, or save the web page as HTML, then try printing the saved document.
Can I print files in any format?
The campus printing service will only attempt to print documents that it supports. You may be able to save your document as a supported file format. For more details, please contact IST Service Desk.
Can I print multiple file documents?
Some documents are constructed of several files, with the application assembling the complete document from many pieces (some examples include CAD xrefs, saved web pages, linked sheets in Excel, and linked graphics in Word).
Since the campus printing service deals with a single file, the missing files will either not appear or generate an error, depending on the file type. Try saving your document in a consolidated "single file" format, rather than as a collection of files, and re-submit.
