Habitat for Humanity Kitchener development
The Kehl Street project is a Habitat for Humanity development in the Kitchener/Waterloo Region consisting of a group of townhomes built with volunteer labour. This project was adopted by the Warrior Home student design team at the University of Waterloo for the Race to Zero student competition in 2018. The Warrior Home design team adjusted the original home to fit “net-zero” requirements and was successful in winning first place in the semi-detached housing category while achieving net-positive energy efficiency.
