Post Doctoral Fellow
Surjyasish finished his PhD in Applied Physics from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2021. His doctoral thesis focused on understanding the dynamic wetting of liquid drops on soft solids with a particular focus on the complex stick-slip characteristics exhibited by fast moving contact lines. Previously, he obtained his Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from York University, Canada and his Bachelor’s from Jadavpur University, India. He has broad research experience in theoretical & experimental fluid mechanics, particularly the design of high-speed optical interference systems and the modelling of lubrication theory. His current research involves broader areas of soft matter, wetting, ion-trapping and nanofluidics.
