Laura Hug selected among delegates for the 2024 edition of Science Meets Parliament

Congratulations to Laura Hug, Lead Principal Investigator, NSERC Tier II Canada Research Chair in Environmental Microbiology, and Associate Professor in Biology for being selected as a Delegate for the 2024 Science Meets Policy program!

The Science Meets Policy program (SMP) program is offered to help strengthen the connection between the science and policy communities, enable two-way dialogue, and promote mutual understanding. Delegates will have the opportunity to learn about the inclusion of scientific evidence in policy making in Parliament and discuss their research with Parliamentarians.

The SMP program is championed by the Canadian Science Policy Centre (CSPC) and Canada’s Chief Science Advisory, Dr. Mona Nemer. The SMP program for 2024 will take place in Ottawa on May 6-7.
