We are currently recruiting for the following positions within the Mitigation of Methane Emission Hot-spots in Municipal Landfills project:
PhD position
We’re currently accepting applications for one PhD position working under the supervision of Fereidoun Rezanezhad.
The PhD student will conduct methane-amended enrichment culture experiments to quantify methane oxidation capacity for landfill cover soils and will also develop a reactive transport model of hot-spot methane emission dynamics from active and closed municipal landfills.
Applicants must have (or expect to soon complete) a degree in biogeochemistry, hydrology, soil science or a related field. There is the possibility of creating an MSc student position in lieu of PhD for candidates who prefer to undertake a Master’s degree.
Applications will be reviewed as they are received. The position will remain open until filled.
