Fereidoun Rezanezhad is an expert in hydrogeochemical processes at the water-soil intersection and the biogeochemical cycles of nutrients. His research program focuses on soil geochemistry and hydrocarbon-contaminated soils using large-scale column reactors and modelling. He has extensive experience in wetland and soil research, including monitoring water levels, assessing soil and water quality, and measuring contaminant, nutrient and GHG fluxes. Fereidoun has developed novel laboratory techniques, including computer-controlled soil column systems, freeze-thaw microcosms, high-resolution electrochemistry sensors and non-invasive geophysical monitoring methods.
