I received my MSc in Kinesiology at the University of Guelph. Here I began to study multisensory integration and balance control. I am now a PhD student in the Multisensory Brain and Cognition Lab where I am studying the perceived timing of multisensory events during postural perturbations through a lean-and-release system.

I received my Bachelors of Science in Psychology at the University of Waterloo. I am now a graduate student in the Multisensory Brain and Cognition Lab where I am interested in the perceived timing of audiovisual events in young and older adult populations.

MSc student
w8chung@uwaterloo.ca

I received my Bachelors of Science in Psychology at the University of Waterloo and I am currently doing my graduate studies under the supervision of Professor Barnett-Cowan. My main research interests are in neuroscience and cognition, more specifically I am interested in studying perception and virtual reality. I am currently examining the influence of head movements on the vestibulo ocular reflex (VOR), in order to gain a better understanding of how vestibular stimulation is perceived.

BSc student
afirtand@uwaterloo.ca

I am a volunteer research assistant in the Multisensory Brain and Cognition Lab where I have been involved in a number of studies related to processing multisensory information during a fall.

BSc student
sizadiso@uwaterloo.ca

I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology at Simon Fraser University and am currently working on a second Bachelor's. I am currently doing a research apprenticeship in the Multisensory Brain and Cognition Lab. I am assisting with studies that analyse the timing of multisensory events during postural perturbations through a lean-and-release system.

Adrienne Wise.
Adrienne Wise

BSc student
ac2wise@uwaterloo.ca

I am a fourth-year thesis student in the Multisensory Brain and Cognition Lab. Currently I am completing my honours thesis, which investigates the genetic determinants of multisensory integration. I am also collaborating with researchers at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute to determine how change in multisensory integration is related to falls in the elderly and in patients with neurological damage.

Katie Fleming.
Katie Fleming

Co-op student
keflemin@edu.uwaterloo.ca

I am a high school co-op student assisting in the Multisensory Brain and Cognition Lab to learn more about neurological science and research. I am particularly interested in pursuing a career in Applied Health Science with Neuroscience or Kinesiology.
