The Nanotechnology Engineering Student Society (NESS) is a student-run organization that aims to serve and represent the Nanotechnology Engineering (NE) student body. It will organize and run events catered to NE students to foster interactions between all cohorts. NESS also aims to address NE program-wide concerns more effectively. Lastly, the Society will reach out and foster an alumni network for career opportunities and resources.
NESS formed in the Fall 2016, and ran its first elections in Spring 2017. It will be partnered with the Waterloo Institute of Nanotechnology and the Nanotechnology Engineering Program administration to ensure that the society is able to host events every term for the student body. Examples of events include: discussions with startup founders, resume workshops, and "Meet the Profs" events! To find out more about the society and how you can get involved, e-mail the NESS executives.
