Convocation 2014: Welcome to the club

As the University’s 109th convocation ceremonies begin this week, Waterloo is pleased to welcome graduating students to an alumni club with 172,000+ members living around the world.

Graduating students, along with their family and friends, and members of the community are encouraged to join the “CONVO-sation” by tweeting messages of congratulations and sharing memories and words of wisdom using #uwaterloograd. Messages will appear live on Twitter walls in the convocation hall and reception.

Being a Waterloo alumnus is about staying connected and showing off some university pride.

Graduation Frames

Show your pride in Waterloo by displaying your diploma at home or in the office. Diploma and portrait frames are available to purchase during convocation and online at any time.

Stay Connected

By staying connected, alumni have access to services that support their success, as well as perks that mean they can have a little fun along the way.

• Career Catalysts provide customized sessions with career advisors, professional development discounts, and access to the Alumni JobMine.
• Alumni Perks partners with some great organizations (TheMuseum in Kitchener, Via Rail) to offer alumni the chance to have fun at a discount. The list of partners is always growing.
• Events happening around the world offer alumni the chance to build their network, gain insight into an interesting subject like climate change or entrepreneurship, and of course, have a fun night out.
• Publications like @UWaterloo, a monthly enewsletter, and the Waterloo Magazine provide updates on campus activities and share stories about the high-impact work being done by students and your fellow alumni.
