After careful deliberation, the Association of Canadian Ergonomists Ontario Council selected Nicholas Patrick's entry as the winner of the 2018 Student Competition.
Each year, the Association of Canadian Ergonomists Ontario Council releases a Student Competition. For this year's competition, students were required to propose a plan to determine whether an injured worker was ready to return to work. The challenge could be completed individually or in pairs. Leveraging his research on return to work, digital human modeling and his recent internship at Ford Motor Company, Occupational Biomechanics and Ergonomics Lab member Nick Patrick submitted a clear and well developed plan to take the $500 first place prize! Congratulations also goes out to Luke Hagglund (Fanshawe College) and Jessica Mendonca (University of Waterloo) who received 2nd and 3rd place awards.
Stay tuned for next year's student competition!
