Join us in Markham, Ontario on November 6–8, 2026 for three days of high-quality continuing education designed for optometrists and their teams, with this year’s program focusing on a TPA Update and its clinical application.

Hosted by the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science, our Waterloo Eye Institute (WEI) Fall Conference & Trade Show conference offers a translational, evidence-informed approach that connects the latest research with practical, real-world application to support clinical decision-making and patient care.

Optometrists can earn up to 20 hours of COPE-accredited (pending) continuing education, alongside hands-on workshops, case-based learning, and a 30+ vendor trade show featuring the latest in eye care technology and services.

A parallel one-day Optometric Staff Program provides 6 hours of CCOA-approved (pending) targeted education for assistants, technicians, and administrative staff, supporting the entire clinic team in delivering high-quality care.

Built on our commitment to rigorous, clinically relevant education, the WEI Fall Conference & Trade Show is designed to help you invest in learning that directly impacts your practice.

As the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science, we’re ranked third in North America in research impact – fifth in the world – and we operate Canada’s largest optometric clinic, with some 28,000 patient visits a year spanning from primary eye care to a range of specialty services. As a result, we offer continuing professional development rooted in clinical evidence and informed by the latest lab-to-clinic research.
