This book launch will focus on how social transformation and justice are formed not only through legal mechanisms, but through the cultural aspects of storytelling, memory, and narrative form. The book launch and discussion will focus on three major scholarly works by Dr. Paul Ugor and his co-editors.

  • The Postcolonial Bildungsroman: Narratives of Youth, Representational Politics and Aesthetic Reinventions (co-edited with Arnaub Dutta Roy)
  • The Postcolonial Bildungsroman and the Character of Place (co-edited with Arnab Dutta Roy and Simone Maria Puleo)
  • Narrating Transitional Justice: Memory in the Age of Truth and Reconciliation (co-edited with Bonny Ibhawoh)

The event will feature responses from leading scholars and reviewers, Dr. Rebecca Saunders and Dr. Pauline Wakeham, followed by a moderated discussion and audience Q&A. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
