Grant Leach’s work sits at the intersection of international higher education, institutional engagement, business development, and educational program innovation. As Senior Recruitment & Business Development Strategist at Renison University College at the University of Waterloo, he develops partnerships and initiatives connecting universities, governments, scholarship organizations, educators, and community partners with opportunities across Renison and the broader Waterloo ecosystem.
Drawing on more than a decade of experience, Grant’s work spans undergraduate and graduate engagement, English-language and pathway education, customized and short-term academic programming, faculty and staff mobility, English-medium instruction, TESOL, and community-responsive educational programming for domestic and international audiences.
With support from Waterloo’s Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs, Grant also represents the University through CALDO, a consortium of leading Canadian research universities committed to international education and engagement across Latin America. In this capacity, he helps strengthen institutional and research connections, promote Waterloo’s graduate education and research strengths, and identify opportunities for customized programming and broader collaboration.
Having studied in Australia, Taiwan, and the United States, Grant brings a deeply intercultural perspective to his work and speaks Mandarin Chinese and conversational French.
