With the current need for creating and delivering courses online, do you think it could be an opportunity for the University to expand this teaching model with the support of our experts at the CEL and CTE?

Our instructors, many of whom had not done any distance teaching before, have worked very hard to adapt their teaching to the different needs of distance teaching. As a result, they have materials in hand for many courses, and new pedagogical skills and techniques at the ready, should the need arise to do something similar again.

The University has also continued to invest in the pedagogical and technological supports needed for developing online courses, and other online teaching tools. We’ve undertaken a process to work with Faculties to identify priority courses for development into full online courses, which will become part of the catalogue of courses the University can offer online in the future.
