I had a 1 year + 1-year contract. I'm sure some are in the same situation, but wasn't approved for my 2nd year. Not a new employee yet about to be let go. Priority was said to save jobs, but how is this showing that?

All work is being reviewed in light of the university’s decision to remain in a primarily online course delivery through 2020. For 1 year + 1 year contracts, that work would have normally been reviewed at the end of the first year. Where the project has run its course, contracts have been expiring on the contract final date. There are other contracts being extended where the work is critical to the university’s core business.
