On Tuesday, April 30, University of Waterloo President Feridun Hamdullahpur participated in an hour-long panel discussion about the direction of post-secondary education at the 2013 Milken Institute Global Conference. The annual event, held in Santa Monica, California, is one of the world’s premier gatherings of eminent leaders, thinkers and statespersons, convened to discuss the world’s top challenges, trends, and opportunities.
Discussing the value and role of university education with such distinguished co-panelists as Gray Davis, the former governor of California, President Hamdullahpur made the case for the kind of innovative, entrepreneurial, and experiential education that makes the University of Waterloo so unique.
