Ziting Shen

Ziting is a PhD student in the Generative AI for Health Lab at the University of Waterloo, where her research focuses on agentic AI systems for food safety inspection, combining machine learning, large language models, and public health decision-making. Her work includes unsupervised clustering of Toronto food inspection records, presented at the ICML 2026 Structured Data for Health workshop, as well as anomaly detection for driver monitoring and biological knowledge graphs for zero-shot disease prediction. She holds a BASc in Chemical Engineering and an MEng in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Toronto, both with Honours, and has industry experience managing cGMP regenerative-medicine R&D projects.
