AI for Health
University of Waterloo Professional Practice Centre
Health systems run on decisions made under pressure, with incomplete information, across systems that don't talk to each other. The Professional Practice Centre pairs UW student teams and faculty with health system partners to design, build and test agentic AI tools that support clinicians, administrators and patients — grounded in real workflows, not hypotheticals.
Senior advisory team
Behind every project at the center is a team of dedicated advisors who help steer our mission and keep our work grounded in real-world impact. Their diverse perspectives strengthen our ability to serve communities through research and innovation.
