Hi everyone! My name is Samridhi and I’m the President of PsychSoc. My role involves supporting all the other members of PsychSoc, overseeing committee functions, and strategic planning and implementation of our society's goals at large. I also manage external relationships with WUSA, ASU, SciSoc, and other organizations.

My favourite course was PSYCH 320 Language Development. I loved the way this course was taught (made it to every 8:30 am class) and we learned about many interesting studies which helped me gain a better understanding of language acquisition and development.

Favourite psych course: Psych 334, Intro to Individual Counselling. Im leaning towards psychotherapy as a career so this class was the best intro into the application angle of all the other psych courses I’ve taken and I really loved being able to compare and contrast different types of therapies.
Communications Director

Hello everyone! I'm Rhyanna (pronounced rye - anne - uh) and I am currently a Communication Director with PsychSoc. My role involves keeping up with our social media posts, as well as connecting with faculty and organizations to create amazing and impactful events!

My favourite course is probably PSYCH 257 - Psychopathology! I enjoyed getting to learn about different mental illnesses - specifically personality disorders and all their characterisitcs. I really appreciated this course for helping me find my niche, and guiding me towards what I want to do in the future!
Events Director

I help plan and organize events to bring psychsoc members together and have a great time!

Fav psych course: Psych 354 (interpersonal relationships)! I find the dynamics of close relationships really interesting and I think that we could all benefit from learning more about it!
Vice President - Peer Mentorship Program

Kashish Kahlon (she/her)
BSc Psychology, Minor in Addictions, Mental Health, and Policy
As the Vice President of the Peer Mentorship program, I’m responsible for the coordination and execution of all PMP events and supporting the PMP members. We will soon be launching the formal peer mentorship program, so I’m super excited for that! We’ll be coordinating training events, team building activities, and fostering mentor-mentee relationships to ensure that younger students have the guidance to navigate the psych world from experienced students like you guys! :)
Fun fact: I love reading and playing video games!

My fav course would have to be PSYCH 457 which was a seminar focused on social anxiety. I loved the professor and how the course was structured, and it allowed me to think more critically about the research I consume!

Hey I'm the Website Director! My role involves constantly updating the website. I'm also usually designated IT guy during our events. I work on pushing new feature onto our website to better gauge traction.

My favourite course was psych 390 with Risko. Felt this was the most applicable to my research goals and was such a fun environment to learn!

My favourite Psych course is PSYCH 253: Social Psychology. This course really focuses in on how the social aspects of our lives influence our behaviours. It really draws the connection between theory and practical real life situations where concepts can be applied!

Hi everyone! My name is Christina and I'm the Retail Director for this term. My job involves managing the PsychSoc Tuck Shop, where the snacks and Psych Merch are found! If you happen to be in the PAS building, be sure to drop by PAS 3080 for a quick treat!

My favorite psych course is PSYCH 261: Physiological Psychology! This course makes great connections between human physiology, psychological phenomena, and neuroscience; it really helps you see psych concepts from a biological perspective!
