Cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET)
Cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET) is a valuable tool used in elite athletes and clinical populations. The Lab uses exercise as a tool to challenge the limits of human physiology and help us understand how disparate physiological systems coordinate an integrative response to achieve incredible feats.
Isolated respiratory muscle work
Inspiratory pressure threshold loading is a way of challenging the inspiratory muscles beyond the experiences of traditional exercise. This pressure threshold device challenges the inspiratory muscles to generate very high pressures and allows us to study the respiratory muscle metaboreflex.
