Welcome to Statistics and Actuarial Science 50th anniversary
The Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science at the University of Waterloo is pleased to announce a conference to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its founding.
The conference will run on Wednesday July 26 & Thursday July 27, 2017, with a conference dinner planned for the evening of July 26 whose cost is included in the conference fee.
The first day of the conference will have plenary talks by internationally recognized workers who are former graduates or have strong links to the Department. There will also be a session on the history of Statistics and Actuarial Science at Waterloo and in the rest of Canada. The second day will feature additional invited professional and scientific talks, in which speakers will have an opportunity to share stories of life at, and after, Waterloo.
The conference website allows you to register and submit a title and abstract if you want to talk in one of the contributed sessions.
