We are excited to invite our first professional speaker, Sara Husain (MBBS, MSc, MHE, PMP) from the Public Health Agency of Canada for our October Lunch & Learn Event.
This event will provide students with an opportunity to learn about career paths in public health. Sara can answer questions about how to balance being a part time student while working full time, transitioning from a provincial health position to a federal health position, how to get involved in the Canadian Health Evaluation Society as a student, and more.
About the Speaker
A recent graduate from the Masters in Health Evaluation program at the University of Waterloo, Sara Husain is a physician-researcher with a broad range of research and health service management experience within local and international health systems.
Working with a variety of stakeholders, including academia, policy makers, health service providers, international agencies and communities at large, Sara has served roles ranging from research and data management to project management and strategic planning.
With a passion for improving healthcare service quality, Sara is particularly interested in applying strategic design, program planning and evaluation to improve service delivery and access.
