Matteo completed his master's degree from the University of Rome Tor Vergata in Sport and Exercise Science and has been working as a professional soccer coach for the past 10 years in both Europe and North America. He is also the co-founder of VitRuvian Sport Systems, an emerging sport science company that is developing a soccer simulator utilizing the virtual reality environment.
Matteo's research interests within cognitive neuroscience is to study the brain’s function as it relates to sport performance. His research specifically investigates how cognitive training can improve spatial awareness in elite soccer players. Matteo's ultimate goal is to improve sports performance through medicine, science and technology.
