Sara Ganowski

Sara is a masters student at the University of Waterloo. She completed her undergraduate degree in the School of Environment, Resources and Sustainability with a Joint Honours in Speech Communication. Sara’s research focuses on the social acceptance of low-carbon energy technologies and system transformations. She completed her honours thesis on the social acceptance of renewable energy development in rural-Ontario and the potential of community-owned energy schemes. Sara brings to the Project 4.6 team, an academic and professional background in environmental planning and communications within the utility industry. She also shares her passion for energy sustainability through her involvement in youth empowerment and community engagement initiatives.
